Patrols to tackle firework misuse

Anyone misusing fireworks on Bonfire Night in the Isle of Man could face prosecution, police have warned.

Police and firefighters are taking part in joint high visibility patrols across areas including Douglas, Onchan, Pulrose and Laxey.

Officers say the initiative is aimed at reducing irresponsible and potentially dangerous behaviour.

Official firework displays are taking place in Ramsey, Peel, Port Erin and Laxey on Wednesday night.
