Gales force ferry cancellations

Viking
Morning sailings between Douglas and Liverpool have been cancelled

Ferry services between the Isle of Man and Liverpool have been cancelled following a severe gale warning in the Irish Sea.

Poor weather conditions forecast for Friday have resulted in the Manx Steam Packet cancelling its 0730 BST Viking sailing from Douglas to Liverpool.

The return sailing from Liverpool at 1115 BST has also been cancelled.

The ferry firm is trying to contact all passengers affected by the cancellations.

However, those who may not have been contacted by the Steam Packet Company are asked to contact the firm's reservations department to discuss alternative arrangements.

It is anticipated that Saturday's Viking sailings will run as scheduled.
