Man attacked by dog left injured

A man was injured when he was attacked by a dog on the Isle of Man, police have said.

The man was walking on Harbour Road, Onchan, on Sunday afternoon when he was confronted by two large dogs.

One of the dogs, which were black and brown and believed to be Rottweilers or Dobermans, became aggressive and attacked the man, leaving him injured.

He was so concerned for his safety that he ran into a nearby garage to hide while the animals disappeared.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who knows who may own these animals, to contact them.
