Transfers will again be arranged for foot passengers

More ferry sailings from the Isle of Man have been unable to berth in Liverpool and have been diverted to Lancashire for a second day.

The 0730 BST sailing from Douglas was diverted to Heysham, and the 1115 BST Liverpool to Douglas service will sail from Heysham at 1215 BST.

The Steam Packet Company said the diversions were due to maintenance work on the Liverpool Landing Stage.

The same arrangements were in place on Thursday.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said it was liaising with Mersey Docks and Harbour to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

Coach transfers for foot passengers will be arranged in both directions.

The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
