Two in court over double stabbing

Two men were injured in the stabbing

Two people have been remanded in custody over the stabbing of two men on the Isle of Man.

Christopher Scatchard, 25, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday after the stabbings in Oak Avenue in Pulrose.

He was charged with two counts of wounding with intent to murder. Michelle McBirnie, 29, from Pulrose, is charged with assisting an offender.

Michael Moyle, sitting at the High Bailiff's Court, ordered the pair to be remanded in custody until 29 April.

One of the victims remains in hospital for treatment for his injuries.

The second man was discharged at the weekend.
