Ferry bosses will continue to monitor the weather to see if it improves
|
Ferry services to and from the Isle of Man may be delayed or cancelled later in the week following predictions of bad weather in the Irish Sea.
Current weather forecasts indicate the risk of a north westerly gale 8 to severe gale 9 on Thursday and Friday.
The strong winds could affect Viking's sailings to and from Liverpool, Lancashire, Belfast and Dublin.
The Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham in Lancashire on Thursday night and return trip on Friday could also be affected.
The Steam Packet Company says it will continue to monitor the situation ahead of making a decision nearer the time.
