Malew Church could be added to the protected list
Isle of Man residents are being asked their views on whether a number of landmarks and houses should make it onto the Protected Buildings' Register.

The Department of Local Government and the Environment wants to add Castletown station, Malew Church and the windmill at Ballawhane Farm to the list.

Red Cross House on Derby Road, Douglas, may also be taken off the list.

Anyone who would like to have their say must contact the department before 8 January at the latest.

Also up for consideration are properties on The Crofts in Castletown, Crofton, Elderbank and Westwood.

If the buildings are added to the list, any demolition, alteration or extension work would have to be approved by the department.
