The line up for the Isle of Man's International Jazz Festival has been announced with a big name singer headlining the event.

Marcia Pendlebury, the well-known singer famous for her traditional and swing style will be taking part.

Tenor saxophonist Art Themen will also be appearing for the first time.

The Festival is on 21-23 September at the Hilton Hotel in Douglas where two areas - Harlem and the Cotton Club - will be showcasing different acts.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be a New Orleans style Parade through Douglas Town Centre on the Saturday morning.

On Sunday a jazz service will also take place in St George's Church, Douglas.

Alan Grubb, chairman of the festival organisers, the Manx Jazz Club, said: "All the plans are now in place and we look forward to another wonderful weekend of jazz.

"It is a rare opportunity to see so many top class jazz musicians at one venue and I would urge the Manx public to come and support the artistes."
