Students invited to Viking site
Pupils planting trees
Visitors can help build fences and plant trees
Youth groups and school pupils are being invited to view the site planned for the building of a Viking longhouse on the Isle of Man.

The Ardwhallan Outdoor Education Centre is hosting an open day.

An authentic longhouse is being constructed by young people at the centre complete with artefacts.

All materials will be gathered locally. Visitors on the open day will have the chance to make willow fences and plants trees at the site.

The open day event takes place on Saturday 17 March.
