The Royal Navy survey ship HMS Roebuck is sailing into Manx waters for a three-day visit.

The ship, the Navy's only remaining coastal survey vessel, will berth at Douglas Bay before leaving on Monday.

During the visit, two groups of pupils from King William's College and Queen Elizabeth II High School will go on-board for a visit.

HMS Roebuck was awarded her latest set of Battle Honours in 2003, following her contribution in Iraq.

During the conflict, HMS Roebuck was on the front line, surveying the main operational area in the Arabian Gulf.

The 1,400 tonne vessel remained in the northern Arabian Gulf until the day before hostilities started.
