Staff to move into 'wedding cake'
Isle of Man's government offices
Tynwald, the House of Keys and the Legislative Council sit inside
Staff from the Isle of Man's Clerk of Tynwald are moving into the newly refurbished "wedding cake" building.

The building - so-called because of its white three-tiered design - has undergone an £11m refurbishment that took three years to complete.

On Bucks Road in Douglas, it houses Tynwald, the House of Keys and the Legislative Council.

The new offices have an expanded library, accommodation for staff and meeting rooms for select committees.

The Legislative Council bench has been reshaped and lowered to provide a better seating and desk area for members.

A new structure has been built to provide an additional public viewing area, with improved wheelchair access.
