Motorsport forces recycle switch
Motorsport events taking place on the Isle of Man mean that some people in Douglas will be forced to travel further to recycle their waste.

The Environment Department is removing the recycling banks at the Grandstand on Glencrutchery Road, Douglas.

It is to make way for spectators for the Manx International Rally and the Manx Grand Prix in August.

The department wants people to drop off their paper, glass and aluminium cans at one of six other nearby sites.

Alternative banks can be found in Douglas on Victoria Road, Lake Road and two on Pulrose Road. Two more are situated in Onchan.

The recycling banks will be returned to the Grandstand on 5 September once the events have finished.
