Manx hospital patients get e-mail
Friends and relatives of patients in an Isle of Man hospital are able to stay in touch with them by e-mail.

The Department of Health and Social Security is piloting the scheme at the Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.

Messages can be sent through to those being treated at the hospital, marked with their name and ward number, via a special link.

Steve Rodan, Minister for Health and Social Security, said that the service would stop patients feeling lonely.
