Postage currently depends on weight
The Manx Post Office is bringing in a new parcel pricing system which will be based on weight and size.

Postage currently depends on weight, but the Isle of Man Post say it does not reflect the true handling costs.

The new system, called Pricing in Proportion, takes into account the size and shape of the parcel as well as the weight of the mail.

The price for sending a standard letter will remain the same. The new system comes in on 21 August.

The Isle of Man Post says most customers will not be affected, as 90% of the mail is standard letters.
