Vikings
The festival will run for a week
Details of the 2006 Isle of Man Viking festival will be revealed on Thursday with organisers promising the biggest and best event yet.

The annual festival will run for a week in Peel from 2 July - longer than its usual two-day stint.

Among the attractions will be a village, a Viking market and battle re-enactments.

Organisers said the event would prove to be one of the most important Viking Festivals in the European calendar.

Details of the event were being unveiled at The Peel Sailing Club on Thursday morning.
