Guernsey's lifeboat was called out to assist a fishing boat when it got into difficulties off the west coast.

The Red Dragon reported engine problems shortly after 1030 BST on Tuesday and the Spirit of Guernsey was launched just before 1120 BST.

The local boat, with three people on board, was found drifting about 10 nautical miles west of the island.

The lifeboat, with the fishing vessel in tow, arrived back in St Peter Port harbour at about 1425 BST.
