Alderney CCTV 'depends on public'

Alderney residents are being asked if they think CCTV cameras should be installed in the island.

Guernsey Police said they were investigating whether the devices could be useful, but there were no firm plans in place for their introduction.

Insp Jane Henaghen said at the moment they simply wanted to know what people thought of the idea.

She said if there was seen to be a need for the cameras they would then look into how they could be funded.
