Bailiwick gets faster broadband

People living and working in the Bailiwick of Guernsey now have quicker internet connection after the speed of broadband was increased.

Cable and Wireless Guernsey doubled the speed of its 2Mb and 4Mb services from the start of May.

To enable the increase, engineers had to upgraded connections in exchanges serving Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.

The work was completed a week ahead of schedule. The firm is planning further increases in speeds later in the year.
