Guernsey's Office of Utility Regulation (OUR) is taking on new staff to deal with its increased workload. Last summer the States agreed to introduce a competition law and said it would be administered by a restructured OUR. Four new posts have been created to staff the new office. It will be called the Guernsey Competition and Consumer Authority and has been given a budget of £400,000 per year. It will also raise money through licence fees for utility regulation work.
