Guernsey regulator takes on four new staff

Guernsey's Office of Utility Regulation (OUR) is taking on new staff to deal with its increased workload.

Last summer the States agreed to introduce a competition law and said it would be administered by a restructured OUR.

Four new posts have been created to staff the new office.

It will be called the Guernsey Competition and Consumer Authority and has been given a budget of £400,000 per year.

It will also raise money through licence fees for utility regulation work.
