The Spirit of Guernsey towed the vessel to St Peter Port Harbour

Guernsey's lifeboat was called out to rescue a yacht drifting with engine problems off Beaucette Marina on the island's east coast.

A distress call was received from the yacht Arcady, with two people on board, just after 1300 GMT.

The Spirit of Guernsey was launched and found Arcady approximately half a nautical mile south east of the marina.

The lifeboat was alongside by 1348 GMT and towed the vessel back to St Peter Port Harbour.
