Work starts on 16 new homes in Guernsey's Leale's Yard

Work has begun to build 16 new homes in Guernsey.

The preliminary work on the Lowlands Road site in St Sampsons will allow for the construction of three new three-bedroom houses, developers said.

A pair of two-bedroom houses and nine single bedroom apartments are also part of the plans. All the homes will also have their own car parking.

They are due to be completed in 2011. The homes will form part of the Leale's Yard redevelopment.

Developer Leale's Yard Limited said the work was being carried out by contractor RG Falla.
