Clinical block relocation delays

Clinical block
A number of key health services are having to delay relocation for a month

A number of key health services are having to delay relocating to Guernsey's new multi-million pound clinical block.

Building contractors have revealed there will be a delay of up to a month.

Health and Social Services were due to take full possession of the building at the end of next week and begin moving in the following Monday.

The move will still go ahead but some parts of the building will not be ready to house services until mid-December.

As a result, the official opening which was scheduled for the beginning of next month has now been postponed.

Plans to move the renal dialysis, oncology and cardiology departments into the building on the 5 and 6 December are now being rearranged.

The Health and Social Services department is hoping it will have full possession of the property by 18 December.
