Severe winds cause island chaos

Guernsey harbour
Sark Shipping cancelled its morning sailings because of heavy winds

Severe weather is causing chaos in many parts of Guernsey.

Inter island flights are experiencing some delays due to strong winds in the Channel Islands.

Sark Shipping also cancelled all its morning sailings and work to clear fallen trees from the island's roads has been taking place.

Sous L'Eglise in St Saviours and the Forest have reopened but the Petit Bot is currently blocked although small cars can get through.

A large branch is also blocking the junction of Mont Durand and Le Courtillet in St Martins.
