Start of Sunday seafront closure

A Guernsey seafront has been a traffic-free zone in the first stage of a summer-long initiative to encourage more people to use the area.

The road between Woolworths and the Weighbridge roundabout in St Peter port will be for pedestrians only on Sundays from 1000 until 1900 BST.

The Albert Pier will remain open for car parking while parking on the Crown Pier will be suspended from 0800 BST.

The seafront will also be closed on Monday 31 August for the bank holiday.
