Pupil contracts swine flu virus

A pupil at a school in St Sampson's has contracted swine flu.

The head teacher of Hautes Capelles Primary School, Dave Boalch, has sent a letter to parents informing them of the situation.

However, the school will remain open until the end of term on Friday. Sixteen cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the Bailiwick so far.

Results on five patients who have been tested for swine flu at Castel Hospital are expected to be known later.
