Control of licences for airlines operating in the Bailiwick of Guernsey could be about to change. If proposals are approved, control of air transport licences will be taken from the States and given to the Office of Utility Regulation (OUR). Commerce and Employment said such a move should allay any concerns about a conflict of interest because of the State's ownership of airline Aurigny. Minister Carla McNulty Bauer said the new system would also be simpler.
