Barclay twins 40th in wealth list

Billionaire brothers Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay are the wealthiest people in the Channel Islands, according to The Sunday Times.

The twins, who own Brecqhou, are placed 40th in the paper's annual Rich List with interests valued at £1bn.

In Guernsey, Specsavers founders Douglas and Dame Mary Perkins are top with £500m. In Jersey the Clarke family are said to be worth £500m.

Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal tops the list at £10.8bn.
