Brave dippers in Christmas swim

Brave Guernsey swimmers were invited to a bracing dip to celebrate Christmas Day.

The annual Polar Bear swim, organised by the Guernsey Swimming Club, regularly sees about a dozen swimmers at La Vallette Outdoor Bathing Pools.

Christmas is also the only day of the year that dives are allowed at St Peter Port harbour. Divers register ahead of time with the Harbour Authority.

Herm also marked Christmas with a festive swim from Rosaire Steps.
