Alderney selects Guernsey envoys

Two Alderney States members represent the island in Guernsey

Two Alderney politicians have been officially selected to represent the island in Guernsey's States.

Alderney States members Bill Walden and Richard Willmott will take their seats, officially known as the Plebiscite, in the Bailiwick Assembly.

Only Mr Walden and Mr Willmott's names were put forward for the vacancies, so no election for the posts is to be held, Alderney's government said.

They will take up their seats in Guernsey's States on 14 January.
