Police are linking a series of arson attacks in Guernsey over the weekend which left two people in hospital.

Firefighters were called to a fire at a flat in Lower Vauvert early on Sunday which left a man and a woman suffering from smoke inhalation.

On the same night, emergency services went to a car fire in Union Street and a rubbish fire in Allez Street.

Later a motorcycle in the Charotterie was damaged by fire and advertising hoardings were alight in Colbourn Road.

Police believe the incidents are connected and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
