The Channel Islands were under Nazi occupation from 1940 until 1945
Guernsey's Channel Island Occupation Society has been given permission to use a bunker in the grounds of Beau Sejour as a central archiving site.
The society wants to create a complete archiving centre where members can access all the information it has.
The society will also be able to offer an interpretation service, and the general public will be able to use the bunker to look through the archives.
The site had previously been used by a scout group.
The Nazi occupation of the Channel Islands lasted from the summer of 1940 until May 1945.
The islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied during World War II.
