Scale of beach litter is recorded

Litter on Cobo beach
Volunteers make a note of the litter they find

Volunteers have been out on Guernsey's beaches, picking up litter and recording their findings.

The litter pick is part of the National Beach Watch survey, organised by the Marine Conservation Society.

The information gathered will be used to gage how much of a problem marine litter is and how it can be reduced.

Those taking part included a number of schools and community organisations. There were also groups out in Herm and Alderney.
