Telecoms market facing shake-up

The telecoms market in Guernsey faces a shake-up in a new series of measures to boost competition.

The Office of Utility Regulation (OUR) says rival operators are concerned over some aspects of Cable and Wireless Guernsey's (C&W) wholesale arm.

The OUR has outlined a number of changes it wants to see in how C&W provides the services.

It says talks with Cable and Wireless have been positive and will lead to greater competition.
