School mourns death of student

Pupils and parents are being offered counselling following the death of a Guernsey Grammar School pupil.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the death of Jean Pierre Le Bachelet, but are not treating it as suspicious.

The 14-year-old died in the intensive care unit at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital following an incident on 18 June at Rousse.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have any information.

Pupils at the grammar school were given a letter offering counselling and advice from the headmaster on Thursday, following a special school assembly.
