Diver helped by Flying Christine

A young diver is recovering after suffering a suspected case of the bends off the coast of Sark.

He was taken to Guernsey late on Friday afternoon by the Flying Christine III, Guernsey's marine ambulance.

He was treated in a recompression chamber until the evening and his condition is not thought to be serious.

It was the second call out for the boat which earlier collected a 61-year-old German visitor who fell off a horse carriage, damaging her wrist and back.
