Event raises foster care profile

A recruitment drive for foster carers in Guernsey has culminated in a fun day on Sunday.

A local jazz band and family activities at Swissville in the Rohais helped raise the profile of fostering.

The event marks the end of Fostering Fortnight, the recruitment drive for much-needed carers.

Currently there are about 45 sets of foster carers in Guernsey who provide short and long-term care for children, from newborn babies to 16 year olds.
