Potential foster carers in Guernsey are being asked to help children who are in urgent need of a home.

A series of events is planned over two weeks to increase the profile of fostering locally.

Currently there are about 45 sets of foster carers in Guernsey who provide short and long-term care for children, from newborn babies to 16-year-olds.

It is hoped events planned during the fostering fortnight campaign will encourage more people to come forward.
