Former pub to become youth centre

Caves De Bordeaux
The centre will open next year

A derelict former pub in St Peter Port is to become a youth centre.

The Caves De Bordeaux in Upper Mansell Street has been bought by the charity Guernsey Youth and a major renovation project is soon to get under way.

A cafe run by young people, for young people, will occupy the ground floor, while the support group Deecaff will move its services to the second floor.

The centre is scheduled to open its doors to youngsters early next year said the charity.
