Voting under way in island polls

Voting has begun in Guernsey's parliamentary elections, which take place every four years.

There are 87 candidates vying to be elected as People's Deputies and polls will be open until 2000 BST.

The election campaign has been running for the past month across the island's seven districts.

A third of the house will be made up of new members as 17 of the current 45 deputies are standing down, including more than half of the Policy Council.
