Orchid Fields honour for botanist

Orchid
Bridget Ozanne wrote books about Guernsey's plants

The Orchid Fields Nature Reserve has been renamed after a well respected Guernsey botanist.

The late Bridget Ozanne was secretary of the Botany Section of La Societe Guernesiaise.

As well as researching the island's fungi and lichen, she wrote many books on the island's plants.

The Orchid Fields at Les Vicheries was renamed the "Bridget Ozanne Orchid Fields" in a ceremony on what would have been her birthday.
