Island newspaper jobs 'at risk'
Jobs could be at risk at a Guernsey newspaper if the daily publication of La Gazette Officiale is stopped.

The publication, which forms part of the paper, carries official notices from the States and parishes.

The States policy council wants to make these notices accessible online, saving the States about £25,000 a year.

But Mark Lewis from Guernsey Press fears that could result in job losses and says the States should consider all costs before making any decisions.

The States said the matter is due to be debated in the house next week.
