Boulders shut off local car park
Large boulders blocking off a car park in Guernsey have angered local fishermen and retailers.

The ground, situated next to Checkers Express in Cobo, was bought by AW Holding Corp in November for £50,000.

Despite the sale, people had continued to park on the land until the boulders appeared on Wednesday.

Douzaineer Dave Chester said the parish had historic access rights for those keeping boats in the area. No-one from AW Holding was available for comment.

Ralph Le Page, who owns the nearby Cobo Villiage shop, said the situation was frustrating and worrying because the shop depended on people being able to find parking.

Mr Chester said he intended to research Castel's parish access rights.
