Flybe's subsidy claim criticised
Guernsey's States-owned airline Aurigny has criticised a commercial airline which has said it might ask for a government subsidy.

Flybe says Guernsey Airport's runway weight restrictions mean it will cost it another £1m to keep its current jets flying to and from London Gatwick.

But Malcolm Hart of Aurigny said it was unfair to ask the Guernsey taxpayer to contribute to a profit-making company.

He said Flybe had made a commercial decision to operate out of the islands.

Public Services has not commented.
