Action on Port parking promised
Every effort is being made to introduce a paid parking scheme in St Peter Port, Guernsey Environment Minister David De Lisle has said.

His department has issued a tender for the contract to operate the scheme.

Deputy David De Lisle, hopes a decision will be made soon on how to progress the scheme for St Peter Port, North Beach, the Odeon and Salarie Corner.

It is expected to cost 15p an hour to use spaces. The scheme aims to fund the island's road transport strategy.
