The damage caused by vandals to gravestones in a Guernsey cemetery has brought shame on the Bailiwick, according to the Dean of Guernsey.
On Friday vandals ploughed through the Foulon cemetery on what was thought to be a quad bike, causing about £1,500-worth of damage.
Canon Paul Mellor said the incident had wider implications for the island.
A reward of £100 is on offer for information about who damaged the gravestones and a tree.
"Graveyards are special places of commemoration and an assault on a graveyard is an affront to us all and a shame for the Bailiwick," said Canon Mellor.
Workers at the site discovered the damage when they made a check of the grounds on Friday morning.
