Time switch plan to save energy
A suggestion to change Guernsey's time zone has won some initial support in the States chamber.

Deputy Peter Roffey put the idea forward in a debate on reducing the island's energy use.

He suggested the island should ditch UK time and instead stick to French time all year round to give more daylight hours as a quick way to save energy.

Commerce and Employment Minister, Stuart Falla, also believes the States need to phase out using fossil fuels.
