Warning over island honey stocks

Honey stocks in Guernsey are expected to be lower this year after the wet weather this summer.

Heavy rainfall in the past few months has made this year's summer the wettest on record in Guernsey.

That has meant the island's bees have stayed in their hives for longer and eaten their honey.

One island beekeeper, Chris Tomlinson, said as a result there will not be as much honey collected from the hives for islanders to enjoy.
