Pensioner's benefits could go up
Guernsey pensioners could see their benefits increase when States members meet this September.

Sickness, unemployment and bereavement benefits are also set to rise in details set out in the Billet.

Elderly people living on their own could see their weekly payments go up by nearly £10, from £151.50 to £160.75.

But any further increases are still under discussion between the States Treasury and the Social Security Department.

If deputies agree, the rise in benefits will be in place from January next year.
