Island ready for Olympic sailors
Guernsey's sports commission is confident the island will be used as an Olympic training venue for the 2012 London games.

Discussions with organisers have been positive, according to a spokesman for the commission.

Graham Chester said: "The sailing facilities were singled out as being good enough for a training camp."

There had been claims earlier in the week that Guernsey's chances were slim, but Mr Chester denied such comments.
