Sandpiper not ruling out job cuts
Redundancies have not been ruled out after the recent takeover of Channel Island Traders.

The company will now be known as Sandpiper CI, after its sale was finally completed on Friday. There have been several stages to the sale.

The company, which is one of the largest employers in Guernsey, was sold to Sandpiper Bidco for £260m.

The group includes supermarkets, pubs, hotels and property development in both Guernsey and Jersey.

Chief Executive of Sandpiper CI, Tony O'Neill, said: "It's too early to set out any specific objectives for the company.

"We can't rule out redundancies in some areas."
